Have been slacking for the past few days, without updating any new post.
Chinese New Year is approaching, and everyone is looking forward to celebrating this festive season, while me and the rest who's going to Melb U and Syd U will be leaving on the first day of Chinese New Year. Woah! Celebrating New Year in another country, it may be a good experience.
Cousin msn-ed me yesterday saying he's coming back for Chinese New Year, quite happy to hear that because a few weeks back then he said he had work to do, so cant make it on time, but he did manage to finish his work in time and bought his flight ticket to come back. He should be back in Singapore by today and going to BP tomorrow. Welcome back, cousin. :)
Another thing that I need to apologise is that I havent uploaded the pictures that I took using my cam, sadly I still dont know how to upload those pictures. T_T
Apart from slacking, I was sick for two days, bad flu I had. Now I am getting better and will go for badminton later. Yong Peng's weather has been very warm over this few days, maybe thats why I got my Flu...
Oh ya, had started packing my luggage also, Tried to stuff the very big wind breaker inside the bag, but it took half of the entire space, now the problem is not enough space and not over weight...

Diary 5/2/2010
Yet another day wasted. Was too indulged in PSP game and played till 3am.
So woke up very late, 10am sharp. Actually sleeping late wasnt the one contributor, my physique was worn out thanks to the badminton session. As a result of that, I was very restless for the whole day. Actually I have no memories about what happened today.
Ok, spent most of my time playing my PSP game, never thought that RPG game can be so fun!!! I always thought that strategy and yahoo games are more interesting, but it is proven that giving something else a try is good too.
In the evening, I went to Nanyang Kopitiam (a shop that mimics Old Town) with parents to have their promotional food a taste. Actually we went there to try before but I didnt notice that they have three very small (almost unseeable) saying its not available on weekends. The food tasted quite fine, costing only RM1 each, so dont complain too much...
Ok, the rest of my day is about planning the day ahead (sounds unusual for me right?). Ya, I was planning on how to go to school tomorrow, coz tomorrow is the Cross country event that I like so much!!! Will bring my newly bought camera tomorrow and snap some pictures (if I remember to bring it) and share over here.
Tomorrow will be meeting with Jia Wen and Chin Xiong at "Xiang Chun" to have breakfast and watch the race at the same time. Am hoping for some nice chatting tomorrow. Another thing is that I dont want to enter the school, bad experience, last year my ex Malay teacher like couldnt recognise me...
Done with that, was chatting with my "dear" sis and she said I can start to write a novel as i talk too much in some of the posts. I do admit that I'm long winded, and I am planning to write a novel too. A story inspired by a friend of mine, promised that I would write it but has been postponing it. So, I guess I will start that story once I get myself in Australia, but it will be in mandarin if I'm really going to write it. I think I will start to combine both languages once I'm in Aust coz I will be switching to another computer, which is more mandarin friendly :).
So done with the diary today, nite.

Diary for the Day
A strange day I would say...
Blackout happened twice and water was cut for 12 hours. What a hellish day, a day without water will drive people crazy, and one day with the electricity being so unstable will drive those using desktop crazy and those onlining using vulgar words :).
Ok fine, I was forced to take my bath using cold water, from the tub, I havent used cold water to bath for some time already, I think the last time was when I attended BTN. But the condition was different, in order to not let us feel too cold, the facilitators made us exercise to the extent that you wont feel the coldness at all, how magnificant!
Water cut is definitely the scariest when the weather is very warm, as you sweat a lot, and when you swear a lot, you have to bath. Other than that, warm weather makes you drink more water, so you visit the toilet more often, and the toilet gets stinker as you cant flush, so what I did was pouring a lot of water into the toilet bowl... Another big problem about this water cut is that it happened when I went to play badminton, how am I going to bath and wash my face properly???
K, done with the stupid water cut, I finally received my Euclid cert today. Quite happy as Taylor's did remember to send me the cert :)).
As mentioned earlier on, I went to play badminton today. Hate to say this but Yong Xian is an extreme player, his smashes are like... Speechless here... THe best evidence is on the shuttlecocks... So as I expected, I sprained my back again. Getting older and older day by day, plus my reaction getting slower, but I do enjoy playing with them, wonder whether badminton is popular in Australia.
Other than that, what I spent much time on was watching Kindaichi, the anime version, ya the very very old version, managed to find them on "XunLei" and was delighted that the download speed is reasonable plus it brought back a lot of my lost memories, well I can still remember who the murderers are!!! (Am not showing off here!)
Thats about what I did for the day, wasting time like always :)
But this is what life is all about, you waste time, and you get regretted

Two songs to share
Just watched "Yu Le Bai Fen Bai" and found out that Fish Leong's 沒有如果 is a half adaption from a Japanese song 留在我身邊 by 青山黛瑪. Her song was once a great hits in 2009 which was featured in the very famous and well reputated Taiwan drama 敗犬女王. Enjoy, I do think that the Japanese song is quite nice too.

Three of the events that I miss during secondary school life 2
Okay, continue with the third event. This event doesnt really happen in the beginning of the year, actually I wanted to write about decorating the notice board and preparing for Chess competition, but suddenly I remember about this very meaningful event.
The third event that I will miss is none other than Co-curricular Day or Hari Kokurikulum. This event replaced the Canteen Day or Hari Kantin in the third year of my secondary school life if not mistaken. If I must talk about this event in detail, it will really take up a lot of time, so I will just make a summary of thie event. Everything started back when I was Form 1, still innocent and cute looking of course, that time was still Hari Kantin. After some discussion among our classmates, we decided to... Okay, total blank here, just consulted Seow Chein, we students of 1Sc1 sold fried stuffs and drinks, some very normal food and beverage. Fine, I have no recollection about hari Kantin that year at all. Must continue to the second year now, this one I remember!!! After confirmation with S.C., our class sold sushi and flowers in the second year, kinda fun experience, because we slept over at Xiao Wee's place, still remember we watched a horror movie called "shuang tong", terribly scary, for me of course. Forgot who went to stay at her house already also, but Kok Long I am sure he went, if not mistaken, Gen Xin and Jun Wei were there too. Come to think of it, my memory power seems to be really poor... So we slept at around 11 something and woke up early in the morning (really early, like 3 or 4 something in the morning). Then we began to "help" Xiao Wee's father to make sushis, actually we didnt do anything at all, all we did was eat, eat and eat. If not mistaken, the others, the girls went to pack the flowers and sent them, so our class was very intelligent in distributing the tasks hahahaha. To conclude, that year's sales was extremely good until we held this celebration at Xue Ling's house, barbeque. Finally moving on to Form 3, 4 and 5, as the school decided to replace the Canteen Day by Co-Curricular Day, they had been some slight changes as we were to help our cocuricular bodies to earn money so that all events held by the bodies can run smoothly. So, I helped Taekwondo Club for the three years, and ELS for the last year. Taekwondo Club, as we had a lot of members, could do more things than other clubs, so we sold food and organised some games on that day itself and sold fruits in the week before the Day. Of course with our hard work, we did earn quite a big amount of money, used to purchase more equipments for training purposes. For ESL, we earned money quite fast too, by selling eggs, which was done by the Chinese Language Society in the previous years (in the end, we halved the eggs and sold them separately). Other than that, songs dedication was done by ELS too, that one was a money spinner as a lot of people, despite of dedicating songs, like to sing songs on their own, so extra charges were earned!
So thats all for the "short" summary about the last event. Of course there's still a lot of interesting happenings that occured during this event, like back when my sis was in form 5, how her class sold otak-otak, the not so interesting but people are willing to pay for haunted house, preparation for the Day, and the very funny exhibition done by Taekwondo Club ( I dont think many people will remember that).
PS: Guess I will ask those in YP for breakfast this Saturday morning, to support juniors in the cross country event

Three of the events that I miss during secondary school life
In the first few months of every year during my secondary school life, these three events would always happen. Without the, my year couldnt be kick started.
First and foremost, Cross country or Merentas Desa event. One of my favourite events :). Featuring all students of the school, broken down into six categories, Male A (16 and 17 yo), Female A, Male B (14 and 15 yo), Female B, Male C (13 yo) and Female C. Each of the categories will have to run different distance. Ever since Taekwondo Club of my school started to grab some attention and gained more students, many of the prizes will be won by them, the rest of the awards will normally be won by other athletes who are skilled in various sports and of course some prizes will be won by students whom other people perceive them as students who excel in studies, well they are all rounders I must say. Talking about cross country, I had always failed in getting a prize, maybe due to my laziness in training, or it may be the fact that other people were just much better than me :). I did try my best every year, at the very least, I try to get one score for my team, JATI. Talking about the green team, Jati, I was in the same team in Primary School, guess I have great affinity with the team. So, as a loser in cross country, I shall almost stop talking about this event. Before I end this part, I must talk about the others who contribute greatly during the event, who made this event even perfect. Firstly, the teachers in charge, they are always so happy when they see students running back (of course only when they were back within the time limit :) ). Other than that, those who sacrifised their chance to take part, the prefects, St. John Ambulance people, scouts and girl guides and others who are given the task of recording the numbers that students wear. The cross country event is going to be held on this Saturday, 6th Feb 2010, so I wish that all Taekwondo juniors can do their best especially those black belt holders. Well, I still remember there was one year when our school held the event on Valentine's Day, which is the day I'm going to fly to Australia.
Ok, done with the first event, a very long paragraph indeed. Now, the second event. Closely related to cross country, the Sports Day. Sports Day is as interesting as cross country, or maybe more interesting! Sports Day is fun as the whole school will be like having a carnival, with many reps from each sports team working all day long, choosing their athletes, preparing the decorations of their tents, and supervising the training. Some people, like me, do like all the sports trainings, but sadly with very little talent in sports. And some, really talented ones dislike attending those trainings. So in most of the occasions, our team lost in the end because our house couldnt get a lot of marks during "sukantara", something like a free points event where all students can attend and try to get more points for their house. I can say for sure that our house's athletes always performed really well in their respective sports events, but with just them, we didnt manage to outfight other houses. The reason being so was that for some houses, they have really fierce teachers in charge who made sure their students attend the event, like Keruing with Cikgu Musa, still fierce like old times. Ok, moving on to the interesting part of Sports Day, actually not really related to it, the real treat of having sports day is that I can get a lot of rest in the class. As normally half of the class would be out or busy with their house's stuffs, I gained all the rest time I wanted!!! Isnt that fun? Other than that, on the day itself, its interesting too, seeing students cheering for their houses' reps, and its also the big day for Taekwondo Club as we would have performance on that day too. I dont know whether the tradition of having performance on Sports Day is still continued, but at least when I was Form 5, we did have a performance. Woah, lotsa fun memories floating in my mind now! Like when Jia Wen tried endlessly to break the wood piece that I and another friend held, as the field was very slippery, she couldnt break the wood piece until the nth time she tried. Must applaude for her persistence and effort.
Damn tired right now, didnt think that I will bluff so much about the first two events, will only continue the third event tomorrow.

The first one is a countdown timer for my flight, found it online somewhere, forgot which website already.
The other one is a clock. The design is of the first book of the Twilight saga, namely, Twilight, haha.

BP Mall
Went to BP Mall with parents just now, still a place with very few people...
I wonder what is wrong with it, but BP seems to be unable to become an attraction to the locals, maybe BP people still prefer Summit, Careffour or Square One. However, I must say that you can get a lot of things there, cheap stuffs of course. Bought my luggage bag over there, around RM94, after discount of 70%.
Other than that, Pacific is also another good place to go, operating like Giant, Jusco or other supermarkets. There's also cinema at BP Mall, a pleasant one actually. Arcade, and other branded shops are there too, so what exactly is driving people away from BP Mall?
PS: Saw some YP people there just now also.

Diary for yesterday
Had fun playing with my new camera, Fujifilm one and tried to upload the pictures I took over here. However, the format of the pictures seem to be different from the those pictures uploadable here, so no choice, I've to search for a convertor, or I will just consult other people. The quality of the pictures, to me is quite good.
Apart from playing with my camera, I fulfilled my daily routine of watching PPS for half of the day, watched MillionStar and Kang Xi Lai Le. FOr Million Star, season six, I find that more and more people are very skilled in singing plus some old faces which appeared in the previous seasons. Saw M'sian artist "Zhong Sheng Zhong" too. By the way, the new season of MillionStar actually held their overseas audition at Australia too, hope that I can go visit the audition next time. :)
Other than that, I watched a movie that I wanted to download for some time already - Bridget Jones Diary. Quite an interesting one especially for a 2001 movie.
Not to be forgotten is that I accompanied mum to watch "Mei Lan Fang" which is about the progress of Chinese opera, but didnt manage to finish the whole movie.
Oh ya, went to pasar malam with mum too just now, spent a lot of money buying all kind of stuffs just now, mostly food. Saw some Taekwondo juniors there, saw some changes in them too. By the way, if you do not get any CNY feeling yet, do visit markets and you will get what you are longing for.
Lastly, I spent some time searching online for maps of Melbourne to see the distance of some students accommodation with Melbourne U. The rest of time was spent obviously on sleeping.
At the end of the post, I would like to share a song :)

Pictures during the SAM Award Ceremony
Most of the pictures were tagged from Kershia, so deepest thanks to her.
All the pictures were taken during the SAM award ceremony, venue was MPH of TUC.
All the pictures were taken during the SAM award ceremony, venue was MPH of TUC.
Taken by the photographer of Taylors, the guy beside me, Jeremiah was the valedictorian who gave a really interesting and funny speech.
I didnt doze off. Btw, you must be able to see how scary the amount of people who attended the ceremony.
JPA scholars who receive awards, some were missing in the pic.
Badminton
Wanted to update this entry yesterday but was too lazy.
Yesterday, Yong Xian join our league of badminton playing and truthfully enough, he really wore us out. The effect got stronger when I got back home, my right shoulder is currently half-sprained, it gets quite painful when I try to lift things up, poor me. Sometimes, when new people join, it surely adds a lot of fun as the entire course of the game, adding more spice into it.
Other than that, the times we can play badminton together are getting lesser and lesser, as I get tired easily, so normally we dont play on consecutive days and I'm flying to Aussie soon, so I hope that before CNY, we can play more often and cherish the moments when we are together.
P/S: Sleeping seems to be a good way of rejuvenating your body after exercising :)

Preparation for the flight
There's something that I left out in the last post, when I wrote about the predeparture meeting. The Malaysia Airlines (MAS) officer told us that our hand luggage must not exceed 5kg together with laptop bag in which its weight will not be included in the 5kgs and for cargo luggage, the limitation is 20kg.
Sadly, I only remembered this piece of information when I browsed through Facebook yesterday and today. I wonder if our luggage can reach that weight as after thinking of what I need to bring to Australia, I found that my luggage is actually quite little as I am not bringing books (unlike in M'sia, you need to bring lots of books here and there) and blanket and pillow, so what is left in my luggage bag?
After looking at Jen's "things to bring" list, which I think is very useful, I am trying to figure out what exactly are the most important to be brought to Australia. So, sports shoes, slippers, leather shoes are in the list already, camera, laptop, external hardisk, PSP and G.C. will be brought there too. Vitamins and other health supplements are to be brought too. Other than that, clothes, formal wear, necktie and socks. Next, chargers for all electronic products, and toiletries like toothbrush, toothpaste and so on. Of course, towels and deodorants, some toilet tissues and a lot more, my goodness, its so hard to take down everything that I need to bring... I just hope that there's nothing that I will leave out to be brought.
